Adult 12
Program Description
Are you ready to complete your grade 12? Are you interested in advancing in your career or pursuing further post-secondary education? Enrolling in Adult 12 might be the next step in achieving your goals.
The Adult 12 program is a nine month program that includes seven core courses. Additional electives allow you to have flexibility in choosing courses that match your career and post-secondary plans. It is offered at SIIT campuses in Regina, Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and in various community locations.
Completing Adult 12 at SIIT will give you the prerequisites needed to apply for post-secondary programs at any college or university. Grade 12 is also required for entry level work and apprenticeship in a variety of sectors.
*SIIT does not currently offer upgrading.

- Complete an academic assessment
- At least 18 years old and out of school for one year
- Have not completed Grade 12
Acceptance Policy
Strong preference is given to applicants who are Status First Nations, but SIIT programs are open to anyone.
English Language Benchmark and International Students
SIIT not currently legislated to accept International Students. You must be a Canadian/ Permanent Resident to apply.
To be admitted into this program you must be able to understand and communicate in English (Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment of six – CLB6).

Tuition and Fees
There is no cost to attend Adult Basic Education programs at SIIT. Once accepted, program staff will help you to secure Education and Training Incentive (ETI).
What to Expect
Day to Day
Delivery Method
This program involves mostly classroom learning for six hours per day.
Attendance Policy
Regular attendance is essential for academic success. Each program has specific attendance requirements that must be adhered to in order to graduate.
If you have been approved for Education and Training Incentive (ETI), you must maintain a 90% attendance to remain eligible for funding.
Graduation
50% in at least seven Adult 12 courses is required to complete this program. If you complete Adult 12, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance (Level 4) and a Ministry of Education Transcript.
Career & Post-Secondary Opportunities
